There is a Walgreens a few blocks south at Kingshighway & Arsenal. Across from the bank at Vandeventer/Southwest there is a BP station, a car dealer and a library. The Walgreens at Arsenal is not an old store or outdated store. It was built in 1999 and is 15,120 s.f. according to City property info. That is a typical size for their stores.
Along with the location you mention, and the one a few miles down the road at Chippewa and Hampton, there is also actually a Walgreens (albeit of the strip mall style) behind that BP on Southwest. Total absurdity.
Thanks Dana, I completely forgot that indeed there is another Walgreens a mere half mile north of the one at Arsenal. Apparently they are more prolific than Starbucks!
Isn't there already a Walgreens right there across the street? Let's not let this one be torn down folks. That is a super iconic intersection.
