  1. A parking lot really is a waste of this great location. However a parking lot will make it more desirable for a developer to purchase down the road since it will be cheaper to build on it. The building is not worth saving. It sticks out as a dated piece of architecture and does nothing to make people or developers want to move into the neighborhood. Just let it go.

  2. The Archdiocese has no intentions of ever giving up this land, so no developer will be able to buy it even when the market demands more new hi-rises. It will remain a parking lot (which by the way is not allowed by the Central West End ordinance) until the Archdiocese builds something there, which may very well be never.

  3. I think I know Brian Newman, the author of the short piece in the newspaper.
